  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Need a light package for a 2011 TXC511

Bluticker

Husqvarna
I need a light package to make this bike road legal. Not a whole lot out there that I can find, but may not be looking in the right place. I am wanting the headlight ferring to look stock w a light.

Also what brand speedo would you guys use, wanting speed, odometer, and hrs if possible. Something that will plug and play, cause I believe it's set-up for that.?.?.?

Also I am a new rider, am needing this bike to be less torquey (as I am not a trailrider, just using this bike to putt around on back and forth to work) can I accomplish this by adding a couple teeth on the front sprocket??

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Jay

I have dressed out two TXC 449s. The first was with Moose kit. The light looked good but does not shine low enough. Put an X2 on the second. Still trying to retro fit it.

I would spring for the Stock TE package if I were you. Stronger more water resistant lights and larger for road use.

Bought a vapor for Speedo. It is not built very water resistant. Lost my ambient air temp after one ride in a sprinkle.
See if you can find someones spare parts. This might be the best answer for you.

The front sprocket is in with the CTS. It would be easier to change out the rear.

i would call bob at central jersey cycle and buy a light kit from him and then its just finding power up front and tapping into it then running it back to the rear brake switch then on back to your tail light,i bought a vector speedo from trailtech off of ebay .

I am looking at the x2 eclipse. What retro fitting needs done on it. Can that light by harnessed w a switch to use one light- hi/lo operation?
Is there an integrated tailight out there to fit the txc w the brake, running light and turn signals in one unit [no turn lights sticking out]. using the thuck handguard w led signals in it, any feedback on that.
I can get a factory husky speedo for 175$ or would you guys go with something else??? Waterproof issues on the vector-vapor?????
Gonna be on pavement 65% of the time, what kind of dual sport tire would yall go with. thx in advance.
