• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have a question about hosting a National Hare and Hound. How hard is it to get on their schedule and compete for a date? There are a couple of ex-Cali hot shoes that are proposing that we host an event centered around a local ski area. We rode about 40 miles Sunday(kind of just scratched the surface) and they were so impressed with the area and possibilities that they were jone'sing to host an event. Facilities would be first rate and light years better than at the race in Idaho and the area is kick ass. I am just asking as a total noob what the chances are of them pulling it off and any sudgestions you folks might have for this kind of thing.

contact the hosting clubs for info, D37's 100s MC, DMC etc, D38s Threat racing. That would be a good place to start. Sounds like you have good venue.

Wally I am in the 100s one of the clubs that own the National Hare and hounds
give Rayon Sanders a call 949-584 9395 Rayon is one of those people who can get things done and works his butt off for the Nationals Get it done and i will then see you up at your race john

We still have 2 more rounds to go and one of them is our club race the 100s
I have done all of them and since one is a throw away chances are i will be loop captain again for our race. Looks like if i just finish one more round i will have 2nd place again for next year .

May also consider Nat'l Enduro. Granted they only have a couple of stops in the west but they are always looking for new venues. Alan Randt is easily reachable through their website.
