• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MZ Tracula follow up/ Re-evaluation of my 06' TE610

jerbear610

Husqvarna
Pro Class
I went riding yesterday to a place where the conditions were perfect
for truly evaluating my new MZ tires and my bike. This place had some
amazing single-track trails that were very tight but not too technical and
the terrain was ideal. A little mud, a little snow, but for the most part
just perfect. This is where I really noticed the awesome traction that
these tires give. Both the front and back tires performed so good in mud
and snow, I was going through big mud holes with total confidence and
did not go down all day. Bottom line, these Tracula's are the best tires
I've tried yet for off-road.
I've had my 610 for well over a year now and have loved it from day one. I'm the second owner and the original owner already did everything
to it that I would have done and more. Pipe, JD Jetts and had the front
and rear suspension done by LTR. Aside from lowering the gearing(which I did) it was setup perfectly and with only 3000 mi. when I bought it I
got a great bike and a great deal.
I've always said on this forum and others that the TE610 is the best
bike in it's class and I stand by that statement. Having ridden a KLX650
for over ten years before getting my Husky I know all about riding a big,
heavy tank on trails it had no business being on. Yesterday as I'm enjoying these amazing very tight woods trails I've finally reached a point where I am no longer in denial. I love to ride in the woods and a lot of the terrain is very tight and slow going. You rarely get out of first
gear and the TE610 is not an ideal bike for this kind of stuff. There I've
said it. Therapy complete. Jerry in Sac Out !!

Thanks for the report on the Motoz  Those work best with 7-9 PSI, hookup is crazy / not had issues with flats. My buddy has 900 miles on a set and is not planning on taking them off soon, still lots of life****************************************

Nice report!
B. ridge? know the area well.

Kelly, I just ordered two Tracula fronts from you the other day & forgot to ask what pressure to run them at. I ride the same terrain above pics were taken.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Jerry,

How often do you ride up there? We saw you go by, or at least we thought it was you. I was on my XR400 and the wife was on her WR250R. There was two XR650's with us as well. We had just left the power house heading back home on the frontage rd.

Anyhow, how do they work on the street? How many miles do you think you will get out of these?

Thanks

I got the traculas too! The front is a bad a$$ tire, i will try the rear at 7-9psi and see what happens.

Hey Phil, I haven't done enough riding on the street yet to give an accurate evaluation.
Just a few short stints but I wouldn't really recommend these in particular for dualsport use as they're non-dot and primarily meant for dirt.
If it was last Wed then it could have been me cause I was up there.
I've been up there several times but not necissarily at B.R. every
time. Occasionally I'll drive down C.B. and just stage anywhere on
one of those dirt roads as you probably know the amount of terrain is
endless and one could very easily get lost up there on those trails and
dirt roads. I found that out very quickly. Not a good feeling to be lost.
I did obviously eventually find my way. Jerry

Yes, I really like how the front tire grabs. It is "Bad Assed".
I really like the rear too. Works great in mud.
