  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My TE450 thinks it's a 2 stroke****************************************

One word....REKLUSE ;). I have the same bike....learned to clutch like a maniac back in the day on mini-bike so a clutch and me are best friends but out in the thick bush or deep mud...I LOVE the fact that I can keep both hands on the bars and twist the right grip to get outta trouble or mash the rear brake if I'm coming in too Hot to a quick bend ;) My bike was bought with a Z-start pro...running a 14T 50 gearing and chugs like a college beer wench (no offence only respect to those ladies who can hang ;) in second gear on the trails....rolling on throttle vs blipping keeps me smiling and watching those without REKLUSE falling over... I also was concerned regarding the "loose bits" of the exhaust...seems normal. My bike has over 10000 km on it and now....officially owes me NOTHING for the price I've paid for it and the fun I've had on it so far. I will say though.....going back to a 13T may be a bit more fun in the trails as the REKLUSE works in overdrive with the 14T..but oh so handy on the asphalt to get to and from trail

Oh I have a friend with one arm that uses a rekluse. Just browsed and couldn't find one for an 07 TE450 but can get for 08-10 - would there be any difference?

Thats a good test riding different bikes in the same sections ...

Maybe the sprockets will fix you up for the trails ... Then it will be game-on with that ktm....

Yeah can't let them damn KTM's get away with thinking they are the shit (even if they probably are) :)
