  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc My second 165 kitted bike and it's the frankenbike...

I will sell you my mikuni tmxx even cheaper! Comes with jets, needles, spare slide and a bunch of jetting head-aches all included for one low price!. You know you want the lectron, just get it-no regrets:thumbsup:

What food and drink do you eat leading up to a race, on the day and why?
slightly different climate (tropics) but you can't go wrong with it

stay away from any alcohol 3 days before (dehydrating)
drink lots like tea/water/milk fizzy (lollypop water) drinks (but no cola (caffeine is not good))

on the day itself no citrus juices (acidic drinks create quicker muscle cramps)

if you can get coconuts that stuff is wonder juice from mother nature but for you easier to get is electrolyte juices like Gatorade and so

stay away from the energy drinks (acidic)
when the finish line is reached a beer is a very good replenishment of a lot of stuff you just sweated out:thumbsup:

food wise

spaghetti the day before having a proper (but not lavish or fatty) breakfast

make sure you go to the toilet and dump the processed food in your body before you start on the bike.

good luck

So coconut juice, pasta and toilet dump:D

Coconut is one of natures natural laxatives, so Spud if you pour a few litres down your throat before the race there is a bloody good chance of a top three finish due the pace you will have to go at to reach the porta potty before you crap yourself :D

Entry to the race this Sunday is now closed with just under 150 riders. To get in the top 25 finishers i'll need to finish in the top 16% overall thats a big call for me.......only 3 days left until the race i'm starting to feeling nervous already.

Got the Lectron yesterday. Thanks Kelly for the quick shipping.
Compared to the Lectron I got for the PE400 (which is also 36mm), I see where the spigot is milled down a little for the WR, and the throttle cable nut better suited for the WR. Thanks for all your input.
