• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC My new ride

that's money right there! Stillwells A-kit suspension upgrade along with the linkage guard, not cheap! But id still love to try it.

Cool looking bike ..DT, do you find those stripes on the seat useful in any ways other than just looking good?

It works my 300 has one.... I hate it.... I'm prolly weird I like to be able to move around when sitting... and I stond most of the time....

That's a thing of beauty! There was an article in the most recent Dirt Bike magazine (I think) about a Stillwell 300XC and it sounds like he does a lot to them. I bet that thing runs like American Pharaoh, fast and relaxed!

Kashima Coating and DLC lower legs. Top notch, Nice and slippery as it can be. No "stiction" issues and a break in period is barely needed. Great working suspension out the door on the first ride.

I'd say, it would be best to order the bike and pay 11,000.00 up front to have this already done as the "Kashima (non friction) Coating" can take as long as 6 weeks to have it done alone.
DLC coatings can take a month.

Very Nice stuff !

Rode the Husky this weekend at Kennedy Meadows single track. Best way I can put it was confidence inspiring in all aspects. I was easily 20% faster/smoother on this bike. At 54, I can not usually see the dust from by twenty something 2 sons. I was stayed in the same zip code behind them for a change.

Agreed. For a basically $9k bike OTD. It easily has 2 grand in upgrades. Kick tire, light fire.
