  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc my new ride....

nice! i love my 165 so much i wish someone would trade my mint TC270 for a CR! one for woods, one for track = livin' LARGE.

have fun

Its a '09, purchased new in 2012. Seller stated it has approx 25 hrs on it...looks to be true. It has CR ignition fitted.
First ride (as a 125) didnt feel right. 1st owner fitted yellow pv spring, but pv shaft was 180 degrees out ! pv did not
function at all. Needless to say it did not run very well. Decided to go for the 165 kit from walt. Only tested on my small home track so far, but feels very strong and smooth with stock the main pv spring and blue small spring, slight closed pv preload and stock carb and jetting with needle lowered 1 notch. Fork seals leaking..parts arrived yesterday (note; i found a 4mm pin wrench for the marzocchi 50mm's on amazon for $9.82 with shipping). I cant ride this weekend (racing another bike Sunday), but I will post a ride report after I ride/ test it next Sunday.

Looks good and can't wait to read your ride report. I just picked up a 13 WR125 and rode it a couple weekends as a 125 and it was nice then I did the 144 kit but won't get a good feel for it until next weekend. Also will be sending off my cylinder today or Monday to Walt for the 165 kit

Enjoy, I love the handling of the Husky's and like you I'm in the Senior class.
