  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc MY NEW PROJECT WR 250 2002

nice, should be a great bike. Love the 02-04 models.
im going to put a 2005 250 tc gas tank and seat.the other parts are bolts on.maybe i have to weld the center spigot of the tank and the low supports but other than that i think is a very straight foward change.

To each his own but thats a step backwards to me. Love the slim 04 ergos and low seat height. The aftermarket tank is also FAR better for the 2000-04, slim and carries the fuel very low. The one for the 05-08 is huge, wide and tall and IMHO kinda horrible. Just food for thought.

You can make those bikes look pretty good with the stock style plastic IMHO...

Old pic. Thats my 04 CR125 I bought new. I have had about 6 125s. Who knew 10 years would go by and I'd still be buying the same bikes!!!

You can see the difference, right? They look less heavy/bulky in the top two pics.

humm, easy acess to foweld plugs good place to warm up cold wet gloves when you stop, i can see the advantage of a higher tank.
with a lectron on it and run it half empty then the cg wouldnt be too bad.

ohh fredd get that expansion chamber off that coolant hose they chaff and wear thin if left like that too long.
