  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

image1 (2).JPGimage1 (2).JPG Well here it is... $1500 with 6 extra shrouds and 4 side plates....

Good-

fresh 165
new clutch
new swingarm ( kid left rear axle loose)
radiator braces (but bent)
fastway pegs (drooping)
3 extra pipes

Bad-

People kill with crap bike maintenance
radiator brace bent back some (should be easy to fix)
needs every nut and bolt
need rear fender
got a 250 rear tire on it

To Do list-

Nice find. I'm just in the process of getting an 08 cr125 into a 165 and ready for next years racing ....last year I rode a '10 wr144. I like the way the cr comes on the pipe. Enjoy!

You'll like it. I could never get comfortable with the '06-'08 125 ergos, compared to '00-'04 and '09 and up. Way too on top of the bike for me.

Thats good to know lanky Doug.... I'll check it out today as I scour this bike and make my list....

The peg stop is a bolt and washers can be added or taken away to change the angle/level of the pegs. I like mine canted upward slightly, it makes it more natural to keep the knees firmly against the tank.

Okay looks like pegs will be good they had zero washers and needed a couple looks like I will get them tomorrow, so that will be an easy fix

The left radiator is tweaked pretty good but it dont leak.... the radiator brace was tweaked also I bent the brace half ass back straight but the lower shroud still isnt fitting just right looks like I'm going to have to remove the guards and fix it better.... I may be ordering some Unabiker braces and saying screw it...

the engine got a good spray and soak with Mean Green so we will see how that goes... I need to either retouch the gray paint on engine or try to remove it.... any ideas?

Ordered a bunch of RMMC stuff today, front plate, rear fender, bolt kit, grips levers and sprockets.... cost me exactly nothing with 2 gift cards from land of motards and the cards we have earned.....

after these go one it will be graphics and tires.... its got a 110/100-19 on back and I always liked the 100/100-19...

oh and sending the suspension to FCR in the morning to get "unshortned" and freshened up....

Ya I know its freaking crazy... spent 3 hours cussing about dumb stuff this guy has done.... I was hoping to just do a quick once over and ride then do a better tear down over the next couple weeks.... Round 1 is on the 30th..... lol

Ya this whole bike has seen better maintenance days for sure.... it freaking pisses me off that someone can ride a bike so hard and just leave it to die
