• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My god, gone for awhile and look what happens. Husqvarna RIP.

One point seems to be perfectly clear in the meantime: The new owner has sold a significant portion of his stockholding in KTM to the Indians
no. bajaj bought a block of shares that polaris were selling at that point. bajaj bought the rest of their current shares on the market.

Don't be so quick with husqvarna RIP, I heard while I was at atlanta SX that Gas Gas has been bought by an Israeli.

..can't say I ever had a problem with BMW..BUT I don't race anymore(but in side my head when I'm chasing my boy around on the trails or vice versus)..I always got parts when I needed them(read -no long wait) and they actually came out with hard parts catalog/clothing line..and I own A LOT of Husqvarna branded clothing, easy ups, belts ,flip flops ,riding gear, back pack,etc..They still offered Husky Bucks(which I wonder if that will continue)got Huskys noticed in mags, made some kinda effort in racing..made some bad decisions as well ..dropped Ty Davis support, tried getting Huskys branded for road use..although I would love to have a Nuda,I would take the 510 S/M for street use any day tho'(WISH I HAD NEVER SOLD THAT 2010!)By the way I still repair bikes on the side ,and I have 2 blown ktm 150's,1 ktm 300 with a blown top/bottom end ,1 ktm 450 s/x with exploded trans bearings that wipe out the cases and a 450 suzi with a shattered clutch basket...just saying......getting ready to order a 2013 TC250 AND CR 125..while supplies last and at phenomenal financing(also a BMW exclusive) .

Israeli's are ok lol

Yep, great dirt bike racing history there ... right there with bmw as a recent example.

Previous owners did not trash the dirt bike things too much ... Pretty much left what was in place alone except for the engine they supplied that drove the new design of the 450 machines ... Actually made a feeble attempt at 250cc MX racing in EU :) ... Maintained (at least) the euduro type racing in EU ...

--
Next Huskies released \ shown this yr might be their design ... If a xlite 450 is available AND a 2t DI machine has been developed to almost any degree, I'll say good enough and parting now is a good thing before any more any more of the unknown is layed upon the dirt bikes ..

--
A Cross Industries AG\bajaj/ktm machine broke all to pieces? Great story since it is not my bike ...

--
You sure about the TC model and not the TXC? Never rode the newer TXCs, but the TC250 I own(2010) can be better in the woods I think with that 6-speed tranny ...

..current TC 250 is a 2010=helluva woods bike but the TXC would be nice too...I primarily run my WR125,my son the TC..he moto's more than I do and but he can make it work..don't know what it is(minus some minor engine work and Akro full system)he has no problem keeping pace with most of the current 250's...

italy = true husqvarna?? really, i thought they started as sweedish, witht eh original wr360 being the leading example of the last stand from them... no?
i own an italian stallion and its very well engineerd, i compare it to kwakasaki an yamamah and simple things like oring gasket for top end, dzuse fastners for seat etc are really good ideas, ktm buying husky, good if they keep the older bombproof engines, i doubt that the three brands vivvying for market sahre are going to divvy up extra r n d to refine three different engines chassis or set ups, yes to a verying degree maybe but i forsee huskvarna being old hand me down chassis from killing the markets old bikes and ktms being old husaberg set ups each about a grand difference. uk grand thats $1300 at moment i think but with differens springing... cant keep the ranges diverse enough to keep my attention...
maybe if my 360 dies under a tractor or bus (the way i ride) i would consider a replacment but please allow me to adopt the "ohh 2014 new husktberg after you buddy" attitude.
