Well as some of you may of heard, I was selling my ktm. Well I took it to an address of 708 glen allen drive, Baltimore Maryland to meet a guy. This was supposedly his address, his so called name was John smith, and the people who are registered to the address were also smiths. Well that was a cover up name for him and he had this planned out and he didn't live there like he said as I later found out. I got there, unloaded the bike for him, I started it up, went over everything, and I answered his questions. No he was not gonna ride it and I told him he was not until he put the wad of cash he had on the tail gate, but he sat on it while I had it idling, I was watching and standing by the bike the whole time. A car went to pull into his so called driveway which I thought was his dad and when I turned around to ask if I needed to move my truck which was partly the entrance to the drive way, I heard the chain snap as he dropped the bike into gear and he was off, down the street WFO before I had any time to react. I looked at the guy pulling in and asked if that was his son, nope sure wasn't. The guy that lives at this address was super nice and a preacher and he felt really bad about the whole thing. I have never felt so helpless watching my bike rip down the street knowing I'll never see that one again. I know as you read this you think to yourself how could I let this happen, you coulda done this, coulda done that, but I was crossing my t's, dotting my I's and for one split second my attention was taken away and it was gone. Trust me I have had a lot of different gut feelings from other situations, wrecking a bike, what ever but nothing will ever compare to how helpless I felt standing there as it went down the street.
