  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna SMR 511 Crash at Francorchamps circuit HD

track was a little wet and slippery,
had a little lowsider when cornering a wet spot, no dammage , nothing hurt.
no biggy.

c ya

WOW !! What a transformation. Love the sound of the Akro. How does it fair against the competition ? ie; KTM, Husa and the like ?

BTW get the 6X JD EFI fueler for that bike, my 511 gained 11hp and a lot more RPM. Amazing. Not pimping a sale, get it from whomever but get one, HUGE difference in power.

i allready have the custom mapping matched for my akrapovic.
i will run a bench soon, will be nice to compare it .
how much HP does it make in total?

hi,

yes this a 5" rim with 160 rear , there is enough space for the chain and tire left. no problem at all.

Stock rim is 17x 4.25" so it'll run a 150 comfortably, a 160's profile will be massively messed up if you tried to put it onthe stock rim.

Ah that's somethings i will have to invest in then, don't really like running a 150, feel more comfortable with the 160 on the back, any ideas who make's a decent rim i can put the stock hub onto that isnt to expensive?

On that dyno print out, is that just with the pipe fitted and the resistor in? that's all i have done and would like a rough power output as the nearest dyno is a good 2 hour ride away :(

yellow/green an every chart = SMR 511 with full akrapovic + akrapovic mapping + race map 2 (bridge connector) the o2 sensor is just unplugged (no resistor needed).=> 53,3hp
Red line => SMR 449 with full akrapovic evo with powerbomb ,original mapping, race map 2 => 52.2hp
second chart red line => SMR 449 with full akrapovic evo with powerbomb ,original mapping, race map 2+ PCM V ! =>54.3hp
