  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My 310 is running so strong...

I bought my bike back in May...bought a 2010 TE310. I went to Uptite and George showed me how to change the oil...and just took time to show/tell my how to set up the bike. He told me to put 500 mi or 20hr and then come back and he would make it work...The bike out of the box is very carb friendly...but no fun to ride...got the 500 mi. and George did the power-up...

I got the skid plate, front axle bolt, oil filler cap, his flick of the wrist full throttle...and his high performance muffler...(shown in IMG00096-20110901-1021 (2).jpg the picture)This bike rips...wow...Im so pleased with how the bike runs...anyway thanks George...I'm a customer for life.

Nice bike and glad you've experienced the "George"! He is always right. Seriously! Wish I could visit his shop and absorb more of that knowledge......

I forgot to mention that he went through the whole bike...and fixed/redid many items that the other dealer just did'nt do...

George know his stuff but some of his prices are ridiculous ($28 for a pair of grips) and his customer service can be less than perfect at times. If you are a clean/neat freak like me don't go to his shop. It's like a hoarder lives there.

But like I said he definitely know Husky's inside and out.

Guy knows his stuff for sure. And yes these bikes make WAY more power powered up. I personally think this should be done ASAP because the bike runs far to lean for riding and seems like the added heat to a new motor would be a bad thing. I understand the idea of not running her hard ASAP but running it so lean seems wrong.
