• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The Husqvarna Motocross Team By Ricci Racing had a tough start to the World Championship on the Dutch sands of Valkenswaard where the opening race of the MX2 championship took place. Alex Lupino on his Husqvarna TC250 notched up the best result finishing in 13th place in both of the races held.

On a very tricky course, Lupino was up against it from the beginning, finishing in 27th place in Saturday’s qualifying round, after having fallen shortly after the start. On Sunday in the first race, after starting in 22nd position, he was able to fight back to a 13th place finish, keeping up a steady pace until the end.

In the second heat Lupino came off straight after the race’s start, dropping to 32nd position at the end of the first lap. Alex then launched a gallant fight-back on a particularly tricky surface worsened by continuous rain throughout the race, allowing him to finish in 13th place.

This was a great comeback for the Italian rider, who during the final laps had set times similar to those of the first ten finishers.

Lupino is twelfth in the World Championship standings after the first race.
Frenchman Loic Larrieu of the Husqvarna Motocross Team By Ricci Racing has yet to find the type of form to keep up with the leaders and was unable to make it into the points. The best he could manage was a 22nd place in the second race.

Not sure what is happening here but starting each race in the lower half of the racers is not helping....

qualify good, get good gate picks....I was hoping to see more out of the gate after the momentum from the Italian International MX series. Let's see how the season pans out, those guys are now swimming with the big dogs in the deep end of the talent pool. The competition just got exponentially more tough and talented.

Yep ... and after the Italian series, you'd think all the jitters would be gone and the bike would be really close to what they are looking for ... Maybe he'll jump to the top ~6 place finishes quickly ...
