• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Mud Is Now Officially Called "Pollution"

In the 70's they told us we were going to go through an Ice age....then came the ozone layer...we dont hear about that anymore ??

they used to tell us that forest fires were human caused and that "only you can prevent forest fires" and now we know that they are mostly caused by nature.....conifer cones pop open and seed some only by fire..this has been going on a long time...long before us and will long after too

( except santa ana ones...some are human error)

now its global warming...

and Mud....well anyone remember Mount Saint Helen...

I wish the lobby groups would compile their resources and start reinventing new ways of doing business...instead of being a continual pain in the ass...

they may as well tell us that "forget any hope...that the light at the end of the tunnel...has been officially turned off..for good" :busted:

All I needed to see were the words San Fransick-o. I didn't have to read beyond that to fully understand the stupidity.

I saw the sfgate.com link when I rolled my cursor over this thread, then saw a thread below it that said "fender mounted tool bag", and for some reason immediately thought of Nancy Pelosi...

LOL****************************************!

It should be Stupidity is a pollutant.

It is understandable that this court of appeals would make such a ruling.
And wouldn't you know it, the case originated from the liberal meca of PDX... Not exactly a suprise to anyone.

What puzzles me is how these people are able to put up a good enough front long enough for someone to appoint them as a judge, then in a fraction of a second they loose each and every concept of reality they once appeared to have...

If this is true will we now be required to contact a Has-mat cleanup team whenever we happen upon a mud puddle?

Will the EPA replace my wife when it come to administering punishment for tracking mud into the house?

Apparently I have become so detrimental to society and this great Green Earth , I should just be banished from the planet... The CPSC hates my three wheeler, The EPA Hates my Dirt Bikes, the State Police hate my lead foot, Peta is pissed about the chicken salad sandwich I ate last night, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson threw a protest the last time I tied a slip knot in a rope when i was one tie down short, My tattoos offend the little old ladies at Wal-Mart, My trucks too loud, The DOT sticker fell off my half helmet, My dog missed the Puppy Pad last night and my daughter is pregnant and you really want me to take a moment and attempt to persuade myself to believe that mud is going to be the cause of the next environmental disaster? Has this group of so called professionals ever even seen a lake, pond, creek or stream? They do understand that mud is simply "Wet Earth" don't they? Do they think that the earth is "DRY" under all of the worlds water?:banghead::banghead::banghead:
