• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MotoZ tires 200 mile report...

Kelly was running a 140 on his 450, so I'd think the 130 is the correct width for your 250 class bike. I'll let him give the final verdict though.

My little report.....
I mounted up a set of the Enduro S/T's (is that the Tractionator!?) on my WR300 just before New Years so I could have some fresh rubber for the annual Hangover race, which is always a brutal mud fest. I set the pressure at 6r-7fpsi and they freaking ROCKED! The studded tire guys were at an advantage in sloppy corners and log sections, but straight line acceleration and braking I was able to hang really well. They did phenomenal and looked brand new when the race was over.

Next few rides were in the local mtns. Lots of rocks, roots, clay-mud and water. They did not disappoint here either. I was a little worried about using a soft terrain tire in the rocks, but they gobbled it up and never felt sketchy and did not wear out like I expected them too.

Last ride was out in the desert. Loose sand, lots of ice/snow (this time of year), LOTS of sharp volcanic rock and plenty of downed timber to smash them into. I ran the pressure at 10psi front and rear for protection from the volco-rocks and they absolutely were the most confidence inspiring tire I've ever used there. Just stuck like velcro to everything..... well, the ice was still problematic, but nothing is perfect. I smashed into rocks, logs, sharp edge acceleration bumps, friends, friends bikes and whatever else happened to lay in front of me and never once felt my rims take a hit.

I'm not a tire connoisseur and I usually buy whatever happens to be the best bang-for-the-buck at that time, but these tires were different. I actually felt the improvement after mounting these to replace the stock front and rear Bridgestone 403 I had previously mounted. For comparisons sake, I just mounted a set of Bridgestone 403/404 to my Yamaha and went woods riding. The rear skated in corners and left me with no confidence in their ability to hold a line in the rocks and moist soil. Some of this surely has to do with the aggressive power delivery of the YZ vs. the soft delivery of the WR, but that's only a small equation. The Motoz stick to that ground like a tire should.

I think they're the best thing going. Especially since last time I was in the shop ONE rear Dunlop cost $90 and those suckers only last a handful of rides. I've got about 6-7 good rides on the Motoz and the front look immaculate and the rear has only just begun to lose its edge and I do not try to save tires. I consider them a high wear item and I abuse them accordingly.

I was somewhat skeptical of all the raving reviews, but I talked to a few friends of mine whose opinion I trust and they both swore these tires are the real deal. I'm glad I listened! I can't guarantee everyone will gel with these tires as well as I did, but they work in my terrain and work with my riding style perfectly. I'm sold.

Nice report Brandon. thanks.

The Tractioator Enduro S/T are very good loam / loose condition off road tires. Actually cross over well into IT terrain and are always predictable.

The Terrapacor's are the lighter weight more MX versions of the Motoz and are fast becoming my favorite for the light bikes like my 125. Rode in slick clay with these on my 125 and giggling while motoring bu people. Awesome stuff.

Motoz IMHO...

- Excellent practicability
- great traction in a large variety of terrains
- Last a long time
- hook up great even when well used

tire size

That was my bad. I have the TRACTIONATOR® X-CIRCUIT on my 310. It is a 130/90/18. We put one on my friends KLX400 and it fit but looked pretty big. I am woried that it still might be too much for the 310. Does anone know for sure?

Worst thing to do is over tyre a small bore. It will rob power and make turning harder, also known to wear clutches fast and cause overheating. I would swap it out for a 110 or 120 max.

I have Tractionator H/T on a 610 and I weigh 280 without gear so i'm easily over 600 lbs with gear. I've ridden in many different conditions now including about 6 inches of fresh snow. These tires are just awesome!

I have followed other bikes on Pirelli Scorpions and D 606 and watched their bikes all over the place, while my bike stayed straight and on track.

^ I just hate Pirelli scorpions, those tires lose their knobs on my first ride on the trail, waste of money I say... are these motoz' any better? there seems to be a dealer here in finland:banana: considering buying these as my next set

What pressures are people running? I have the Tractionator IT at 12r psi and 13f psi but have gotten 2 pinch flats on the front. At these pressures the tires bounce aroung a little compared to the x-circuit I ran.

i run 10-12 and not had any issues with the IT front. :excuseme:

No they do well because they LOVE motorcycles and are crazy :D

Couldn't have said it better myself. A bit like this dude (unfortunately a lot of their women look like the dude(?) on back)...

Kelly,
TE511 for mostly off-road dual sport in Rocky Mountains: dirt, rock, roots, not much mud, no sand.
Tractionator Enduro I/T ?
130/90-18 ?

I like and have had better luck with the X-circuit. The I/T dont hold traction like the X-circuit and the front needs 10-12psi to stop bouncing off rocks. This makes flats quick! X-circuit I can run the same psi without flats and even go higher without the tire bouncing. Bike is a 2010 TE310, went to Tubliss system to stop flats.

How do these work on the East Coast? Specifically Like in the states of PA,MD and WV. I run a Pirelli MT16 on the rear with a Dunlop MX51 on the front. Run about 10PSi in the rear with ultra heavy duty tubes and haven't had a problem yet. The MT16's wear like iron and have amazing traction all over. Has anybody tried the MT16 compared to these?

I like the motoz tires over all others I tried. Good consistant traction all the way down to 1/4" knobby. This is in Ohio and PA rocks, woods and road. Necer tried MT16 and the MX51 on my son's bike are wearing quick.

I guess it is the area you ride. I like the IT's (love the front one) better than the X-cir. All good. the HT rear is fantastic as well.

Well I've heard some good and some bad about these tires. But over all they sound like a nice tire. Ive tried the MT16, the Dunlop MX51, and the Mitchelin M12 and S12 and so far ive had the best luck with the MT16, however, I am considering trying something new this time (just outta curiosity). Maybe a motoz is in my future, who knows

Tires are highly subjective tot he user. Use what works for you.
