• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MotoXotica Ride & Customer Appreciation Day

We have been asked by quite a few people if we had plans for another event and now i can say YES! May 2,2010 at Indian Valley. it is between Williams and Clear Lake California. details are a bit sketchy at the moment but i at least wanted to give a firm date and a place so any one wanting to attend can make plans. we will be offering guided trail rides and possibly a dual sport loop as well if people are interested.Camping is avail and we will have a nice BBQ after the ride to give everyone a chance to bench race and shoot the breeze:cheers:.This is not a Husky only ride as the more the merrier is the way I look at it. I would love to see a few vintage bikes this year to give us all a chance to go back in time.We will also be offering a prize for the person that travels the farthest to attend.more info will be coming soon.Dan..:)

Sorry Dan! I meant to get back to you, I am terrible at email :(

I assume you want this put up, if not, let me know.

There are cheap tickets to be had through SouthWest right about now, and I know someone in the area that would be happy to provide you with a bike/tent/camping gear/food, a ride to and from airport, etc :D

^^^^ No prize for us, but someones gonna get it.

On our way back from our ride on Saturday I decided to go flying (18 feet) down the trail with out my TE but thanks to Dan and Ann having all my needed replacement parts in stock (to my door the next day) and my new found friend Advil I will be ready for the ride on the 2nd. I may be in a street helmet but I plan on being there. We won't qualify for the farthest away award but someone has to claim it, whos it going to be?

Man! This hurts Dan! A broken wrist will keep me from attending....Plan one later in the year and I will show forsure!! Plus it would be nice to ride something else than OTHG and Argyll..

I just realized this ride is scheduled for the same day as the Clear Creek Protest Ride... :(

The ride went Great! A HUGE thanks to our ride leaders, Eric (the challenging loop), Brett (the easier loop), and on the dual sport ride a REALLY Huge thanks to Dans sweep, Dave who ate dust all day. And Thank you from everyone to John, for the wine and osters, made it the classiest ride we ever put on! Thanks to all who pitched in around Camp MotoXotica and Geoff for manning the BBQ again. Glad that everyone who made it was able to and had a good time. Mrs. MotoXotica

The ride was great! There was a little dust to eat but it was for a good cause. Cough. Choke. Gasp. The foo-foo mocha at the ice cream shop helped wash it down, though (very difficult to be the cool vintage guy while sipping a foo-foo mocha with whip). The DS group sure was a nice bunch.

Thanks Dan and Ann!
