• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motosportz kickstand... seriously :>)

Motosportz,

Did not see any kickstands at your website. Scrolled thru all the pages of nice addons, but no stands. Anyway, do you have them for 08 TE450's?

I don't think he has them on his site yet, but he's got pics here:

If your stand looks like mine(pictured above), then these stands won't work without cutting a tab off your bike. If you do, I hear these are great. I'm going to wait a bit and see if Motosportz makes something that works with my 08 TE250 stock and/or look at the 09 OEM stands.

Will be available end of this week when i get the parts back from the anodizer. Will have them on the site soon. Fit 08-09 TXC/TC but will work on the TE's of those years if you care to cut the mounting tab off for the stock one. Pix coming.

Yet another innovative Motosportz product!

Well I finally chopped my tree down for firewood, sold it and ordered a stand from Kelly. I just picked it up today and it looks very nice. I'm quite excited that I won't have to look for trees, that perfect rock/ stick or have a bud spot the bike while I'm off watering the bushes or picking my kid and his bike off the ground.

I nominate Motosportz for the Nobel Peace Prize for outstanding work on behalf of the fraternity of Husqvarna brothers (and sisters). Good luck Kelly

Thanks guys, you rule.

I'll make an official announcement soon but I'm going to do a Motosportz appreciation ride mid to late summer. Should be killer and hope EVERYONE can make it. Excellent trails, good times, fun camping and free chit will be the order of the day.

Thanks to all of you for your support.

Hot dogs? you gotta serve hot dogs. That'll bring the crowds in from far and wide.

I have some summer holidays planned so hopefully your dates work for meI also don't plan on being sidelined with a busted shoulder like last summer. And oh man, I love a good road trip, especially stateside where the beer is cheap and I can eat endless amounts of MSG laden beef jerky until I get a headache, all without getting the "what for's" from the wife. :)

Great idea...let me know if there's anything I can do to help...seriously!!!

Many of you don't know this about Kelly...of course you do, but he has single handedly converted many, many NW riders to the Husky brand. He is truely passionate about Husqvarna's. You should see his posts in the NW section...countless Husky endorsements! I'm not just saying this...barely even like the guy...j/k.

I'm withdrawing Kelly's Nobel Prize nomination and starting a fundraiser. I figure he can use the money for a much needed labotomy or to hire someone other than Lennie's (from "Of Mice and Men") 90 year old brother to do his shipping.
I understand that $ may be tight in these times but every bit counts. Please forward your donations to the following email addy;

just got my kickstand and pipe guard for my 09 txc250,no directions? looks pretty straight forward though, couple issues on the pipe guard, is that supposed to be shimmed out or is it supposed to bend around the frame? my kit came with a large spacer for the subframe and a long bolt for the exhaust mount,is there anything missing with the pipe guard kit?

I have a large bracket for the kickstand, and Im thinking it goes behind the pipe guard, didnt look at that hardware, should that be shimmed out as well,or will that bracket bend around the frame?

There should be a bag of spacers and bolts AND instructions. I'll email you the instructions. Let me know if there are parts missing for the kit.

Kelly,
Any sidestand options for an 09 TE610? The stock unit has a "unique" design to say the least! Just picked up the bike last week and this appears to be the only thing that needs immediate attention.

Thanks

I'll work on a better kickstand for the TE's soon.

- One guy dislikes his so much he wants to cut the tab off and use mine.

i pulled my 09 te250 stocker after 10 miles at the track, the back of my boot would rest on the spring and it would freak me out.....does this one give more clearance and sit flusher after i cut that tab off?
