You can always go to the drug store and get ya a bottle of castor oil if ya gotta haves it.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Yes! I run Dragon fuel 95, i will switch to cam2 or 110. Thanksstick with your oil and run race gas if you want THE SMELL.
Didnt know it was same? Same ratio? I have some 927 but heard its not good on bikes. I might try a tank here and there for fun.You can always go to the drug store and get ya a bottle of castor oil if ya gotta haves it.

I wouldn't run it straight as it will gum up the motor, but you can add it to existing pre mix. I personally have not done this, but know others who have.Didnt know it was same? Same ratio? I have some 927 but heard its not good on bikes. I might try a tank here and there for fun.

False. 927 is a synthetic/castor blend and will not 'gum up' anything
castor is not dino as you like to say, its from castor bean. are you trolling us to try getting people fired up, lol..the cafe is known for having good discussions. you should also do some of your own research as well..B
yes im not the intellect
the only oil that is heavy castor content that i know is klotz benol...fairly dirty and uber strong protection. almost all others including klotz super techniplate and maxima 927 are a full synthetic with castor added as an anti-wear agent. the base stock is not from castor like the old days. with proper jetting i have never noticed much depositing..the past year i have been using 50/50 91 ethanol free with vp 110 leaded...nice and consistent jetting and the aroma is awesome. close to 100 octane for my older bikes as well..TRUE pure castor oil will cause issues. I think there is some confusion from my previous post about getting castor oil from the drug store that was intended as more fun than informative that 927 is the same as pure castor oil. Maxima 927 is NOT pure castor oil. It is a prepared pre-mix formula that contains synthetic additives in order to reduce gumming.
I never troll, but if i was i can, no one has to pay any attention or chime in, im here to learn, nevertheless anyone has freedom of speach im this country, thank you very much sir for concerncastor is not dino as you like to say, its from castor bean. are you trolling us to try getting people fired up, lol..the cafe is known for having good discussions. you should also do some of your own research as well..
What do ya use castor oil for aside from nice exhaust smells noobee?
haha, they say early pilots that used castor based engine oil waaaaay back in the day had a similar issue, lolEver eat too much cheese?![]()
First of all you really would never know how i take care of my bike or what im "worried" about, this is presumptious. i am impecable and precise about my maintenance and products, sad i have to worry about peoples feelings and getting offended by something so petty, we are here to learn THIS alone is my true attitude. I never think its good to judge others by what they are interested in trying or offended if the try it because its there bike man hahaThat's a good attitude HS507..... I'll help you out by not reading.... This post drove me crazy because your worried about the dang smell instead of whats protecting your bikes engine..... unless your riding around in circles or butt slow you shouldn't even smell it..... adios....
Aha I c. Will it make my farts smell nice then?!Ever eat too much cheese?![]()
