  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

John, you are correct. After hearing me whining about liking the small bike for so long, my wife finally gave in and said "YOLO, go get it if you want it." I thought she was messing with me, or there had to be a catch......there was a catch. She wants a hot tub, so it looks like it is a win-win for all of us! Although this will be "my" bike, it will also serve as a back up bike for my daughter since she will be racing National HS and some GNCC's next year. I thought it was funny when my daughter said "You know, you could just swap my forks and shock on the new bike and you can have mine." Kids......... The plan is to get a WB165 sometime after the first of the year for one of them, meanwhile I hope to race it in our local series and see if I can beat some pumpkins with it.

Did you mention to the wifey about the 165 kit? Or are you going to spring that on her one day? Better to get the bike first, then mention it, IMO... hahaha

The WB165 falls under routine maintenance and spouse approval isn't needed.......Nice bike!

That is correct, it was either get another CR or a thumper. My wife is fairly keen on the maintenance expenses for 2T vs 4T so we (I) opted for the little bike......."Babes, I guess the top ends are more expensive on these little bikes...."

I put a couple hours on it today and other than the sucky jetting, I love it! I rode some EX stuff with it and was amazed by it. Funny having so many guys I race with asking me "are you really gonna race that?" Hahaha! Can't wait to hear them say something about getting passed by a 150. Hahahaha!

Congrats........ They are sweet bikes.... And trust me you will get the last laugh when you pass the bigger thumpers in the woods.....These bikes are real nimble and fast to say the least... In my case at the end of a section of woods I have used way less energy with this bike..... In the whoops it's just gas and go and glide.... With my Pumpkin it was hold on for the ride...

Keep us posted .....

Congrats! I know you will love it. Every time I get near my little giant-killer I get a stupid grin on my face too!.

Wives that buy motorcycles for their husbands are precious. You might want to treat her right and hold onto her!

Ohhhhh yeah..... And the same goes for a great wife that allows her hubby to ride on Sundays and doesn't complain.... See exclusions listed below....

NOTE: As long as the things that have to be done are done...
