• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm going to start track riding on Mondays at Milestone MX in Riverside California Monday night after work 6:00 P.M. until 9:30 closing. Vet and intermediate track..... Lights will be on the intermediate track after it get dark around 8:15 or so...Main track is open until dark....

Temp right now is sitting on 98 degrees... Bring plenty of fluids and water if you come...

I'm taking out a complete Noob on his brand new TC250.... first time on a track for him.... should be interesting.....

Bring out the gunsights and night ride****************************************

Milestone MX was great tonight.... rode the vet track all night until 8:45 , loaded up the bikes and headed over to George's drive in in Riverside ( Tyler St /Van Buren) for bacon cheeseburgers outside on the picnic tables....life is good!

Track was amazing. Very good prep. No Dust. Cloud cover moved in and helped cool things down a bit . Vet track and Main were prepped very well. Had about 10 bikes on the Vet track with us all night.. 30 bikes total for the entire evening at the track in general on all tracks......

Spent most of the night dialing in the vet track , specifically all of the new jumps, tables, and simple small gap step down doubles (X4) .... once you get in a rhythm, the jumping is so much easier on me and the bike.... pushed away some of the nagging ghosts from my last trip to Milestone and a certain double that got the best of me last year and had fun all night.... grab another gear and go a little faster and those jumps are a whole lot easier....

The Noob did well and did not crash , didn't get in the way and held his lines... The new TC250 was a blast to ride once we dialed in the sag and adjusted his bars and levers for better ergonomics. IT got a lot of looks.... why did I ride a new Husky????? now I want that new TC510****************************************!!

Planning on going out again in two weeks!

Good stuff I wish it was a little bit closer for me,,,but we now have a couple od new facilities here as well. Pala, Golden Acorn so the tracks are making a comeback down here as well. Milestone is nice but for me even the V track (that is all I've ridden) is a little jumpy. Glad you guys had some fun!

In the same area (Golden Acorn casino zone) but on the south side of the 8 we will now have this course as well, its sponsored by the AMA D38 club

its kind of an 2 track wide flowing course in a valley area, I am going with my daughter for the grand opening on 4JUL09 morn. I think it will be very user friendly from looking at the H cam vid, easy and flowing,,,,I just wish they threw in more esses, looks like quite a lot of straights.
