I'll start this with some quick points and others can finish off with more details:
2010 models (08 & 09 models very similar but Husky did make a much lighter engine for the 010 models ... )
1) WR -- 2stroke models - 125, 250, 300 - 5speed
2) TC -- 4stroke -- pure MX model racer - CARB - 5speed
3) TE -- 4stroke -- street legal dirt bike - fuel injected -6speed
4) TXC -- 4stroke -- cross country model -- 6speed - cross between TC & TE models
The WR models are 2stroke and bad a$$ I'd say ... lot here like the 125 as being a very fun bike with plenty of 125 power ... The 250 and 300 are the big boys ...
Many like the TXC models as they have a slight engine advantage over the TE models but the TE have the street stuff on them ... These bikes are
dirt first, hi-way second as the gearing is too low for cruising ... You'll have to change the front sprockets at least to get a TE going 50-60MPH at the MID RPM range.
The TXC is more TC based ... engine performance close ... Same suspension but softer setup for the trail. Great single track \ woods bikes
Husky also makes a 310 and a 310 kit for the 250s... Many like these bikes and kits also.. There may be direct comparisons here on these bike so do some searches ... Most will say the Huskies are much lighter and higher performance than the DRZ..
You ain't gonna go wrong purchasing a Husky... BMW is their parent company and their future looks bright today
