• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'd pay good money to take a whiz off that cliff.

It's a guy thing.

I did that... To quote Gaspipe, there isn't much better than "a piss with a view".

Just wonderin:)

Walt is here, showing us how things are done in Utah. He saved the day to day when Shane crashed my txc and somehow kicked the radiator with his boot and punctured a tube. Walt has some 2 part multi metal 4 minute epoxy (better than 5 minute) and we patched it all up.

Here he is on the mighty 360.

Yeah, the snow on the slickrock is gorgeous! Were you guys able to ride everywhere you wanted to go in Moab? Was the actual Slickrock Trail clear?

We were in the San Rafael Swell once and we got a good dusting of snow overnight. The scene was pure magic the next day

Woodschick,

Just got back home in Montana.

We got to ride about 1/2 of the slick rock trail yesterday. Still lots of snow and a few issues getting back up some of the stuff we went down although to be honest for me most of the issues were physical and talent. Todd and I left right after the ride(4:30pm) and haven't seen any of the pics but it was a perfect day and I know Jake and Kelly got some great stuff.

Even though 90% of Moab was under too much snow we had a great time riding the little we got to. It is always hard to leave when you know you barely scratched the surface of all the great trails and scenery.

All in All it was a great week and really cool to meet some of the great guys you read about and talk too here at Cafe Husky. So thanks again to Kelly, Jake, Shane, Ben, and Pete for sharing a great ride and schooling us on riding and picking sponsers.

Walt

It turned out that we ended up finally finding the best trails today. We rode the Moab Rim Trail and Cliffhanger today. They were short at only 20 miles combined but the most technical riding we gave done all week. We need to come back sometime and find more trails like these.

Oooo Moab Rim. I did that in a 4x4 and almost dirtied my undies. We got stuck in a flash flood just after my friend rolled 1.5 times on the way down. Much rather be on a bike on that trail!
