• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Mk3 Pivot Pegs

Anyone know if the MK3's come with rubber inserts... you know, for highspeed cruising? Emailed PP to ask about MK3 inserts and it returned undeliverable :( Anyone know of a safe and sure bet to order them online and to ask about rubber inserts?

No, but there's a plastic or rubber overlay you can buy for $30.

Any recommendations re brand of case saver?
I know that the Atv-Quad crowd uses neoprene case savers....this is to absorb shock so as not to brake off the bolts
or crack the bosses where they screw in....I have a neoprene one on my 700 Raptor....They say metal ones are not the way to go??/
Just some info i have gleaned from racing Quads....

Toppers (inserts) are $30 extra and don't come with the MK3's.
For the pegs best price I found was at Amazon.com, $150 with free shipping. But don't see any peg toppers there. But you can buy them from BRAP

Thanks for the replies. Now wondering if you can lock the pivot action on these? You know, just in case you don't like the pivot action or when you don't want it or need it to pivot (?)

That is funny :D ... like locking the steering just in case you don't like it to turn... come on you bought them why? Oh they pivot

Yeah, I know... had to ask though. I mean, that's alot of money to spend to find out that you're not a good candidate for pivot pegs. You can set them up to sit low in the husky footpeg holder deal, right? I mean, you can "low boy" them, right?

Ok - thought you had a pair... there is no adjustment on the holder, they fit exactly where the OEMs are - just pivot so as to reduce fatigue on foot and improve attack angle on levers.

All explained here: http://www.pivotpegz.net/

You can low boy them, but it's a bit of a pain as you have to disassemble them and swap which side they go on, IIRC.

Swapping pegs left to right gives you a 10mm drop. Problem is though the rear brake pedal is already too high as it is. Lowering the pegs would only compound this problem.

Thanks for the replies. Still trying to figure pegs out. Might try Husky666's peg relocators or some Fastway pegs. Speaking of which, Fastway now offers "Adventure Pegs", which are bigger than the Evolution II series that they also offer. At 250.00 USD, they're spendy. For now, I've ordered a Hammer Head shifter tip, part number ST20R [silver color with a rubber boot on the tip].

I have a friend that put the 510 pegs on his 630 and they fit perfect. They are cheap and easy fix for the narrow OEM ones. I would guess they are 40-45mm wide.

Yeah and there are a number of 510's being parted out in the classifieds.

I think just about any of the husky pegs will fit. I have PivotPegz on my WR125 and use the 125 pegs on my SM630.
Yep, Ive swapped pegs betweeen TE610, WR300, TE250, and TXC511... all post '09 Pivot Pegz only has 2 part numbers for Husqvarnas... older bikes and newer...

Yeah mate, contact Dan from Motoxotica on these forums. I got mine through him.

I have bought a few things for my TE630 from him, he is a great guy and very reasonable, fast on shipping and well priced, especially with the cost of everything here in this rip-off country! (little rant I know :P)
