• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Mitas Ice King

Speaking of puddles we had a downpour at our clubs only scheduled ice race of the year in NY. Highways were closed due to ice and the bar didn't open, owner could not drive on the frozen roads. Beer was involved to ease the pain of all the work we put in, and gas money, ice tire building, fender building, advertising, tee shirts, etc. I hope all went well at the Steel Shoe but I suspect you got rain as well. We could not race as the ambulances were so busy with all the car accidents. I got home in the Fun Mover on the icy roads and my brakes went in my driveway. My little brother had my back that day so I get to race another day. Can't make this shxt up.

we really didn't get rain but the couple days leading up to the race were above freezing and made the track a little wet. traction was still pretty good considering there were 102 teams on the 7.4mile course. I was running Fredette tires kenda rear and motoz front. Loving the motoz front kinda wish I would of bought the motoz rear as well.
there were a few guys with ice king's look like a good tire would be interested in trying them out but seem pretty expensive.

Nice pics! That pretty cool!

I've talked to Fredette a couple times and he says the ice king is better than the motoz but it was hard to get out of him whether or not they skated on decel like his motoz's, I just couldn't get a sales pitch other than the Ice king will last a lot longer. I did gather the ice king should last twice as long as a motoz but at $525 screwed up they had better lol.
