• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Saturday was sticky mud and alot of rocks and sand. 5 tests all together along with tight technical trail. Approx 70 miles.

Sunday it was just wet rain soaked trail. 5 tests approx 60 miles. Actually kept the bikes pretty clean.

Thanks for the pics. We have creeks like that where we ride! Pretty tame when it's dry, but a rain storm fills them fast! You can go from jumping ledges to floating away in a good downpour.:D

Looks like lots of fun Blue. How did you finish.

I think I am sitting 4th in E1, only one qualifing postion away from going to Portugal. I was 6th day 1, and 4th day 2 but I DNF'd before the last check. I will have to wait and see how the combined eval scores end up.

I have a better copy of this which i purchased

Blue I gotta get one of those bike washers you have

Excellent photos, BlueHusky144! I dig the waterfall! There was a section with a waterfall in the Desert Mt National Enduro in AZ a few years ago that looked sort of similar. I assume it is usually dry, but the first year I went the desert was green and lush and all the washes had water rushing through them...

Good luck with the results:thumbsup: If you miss out on qualifying are you going to try to do Idaho City? Have you signed a letter of intent?

Thanks, yours are neat too.

I am not going to Idaho b/c I really can't justify the cost and the lenght of travel. I did sign a LOI just because I wanted to see how I finished with the other LOI riders. Never really thought about going to Portugal this year. Now the final resuts have been posted and I sit in 4th in E1. Top 3 from each qualifier go. I know Fred Hoess is going but I am not sure if Toby Atkins is. I will be anxiously awaiting the phone call from the AMA if he doesn't.

Sorry, I didn't know what you were talking about in the first post. That was actually my portable shower that I made from a Cornelius soda tank. I used the extra I brought to spray my bike off.

I can make you one but they are expensive. I tried making a few and selling them but no one around here wanted to buy one.

I may start a new thread describing it a little better. If I do i will post a link here.
