  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

No the hubs are aftermarket talons, the big wheel model is not avaliable in oz for a couple of months and we were keen to get it so we went the small wheels and just bought a set of big wheels, next year my son will move onto it so we needed a set of small wheels anyway.
This evening I just fitted a HGS pipe and changed the jetting to suit, looks cool Ill post another pic tomorrow.

The TC85 is all race ready and has even proved its worth with a 4th overall in round 2 of the Qld go girls seriesin Roma last weekend with my daughter.

Newbie to this site, very interested in seeing what different setups people are running.
We have currently a CR50 & CR65.
We have been racing the 50 for the past 12months on Flat Track and just started this year on a standard 65 for some more ride time on race days at the track.
This is a photo of my son & his 65.

Great to see, on one of our 65s we run a scalvini pipe and muffler, it works well and helps with the top end.
It would proberly work well on the flat track.

You people are the reason that there are a bunch of 18-20 year old kids that beat me in all the local races. Good on you for getting your kids started early and supporting them in racing!!

Hi Guys my son is running a 50 and a 65 on flat track. Just got 65 a couple of weeks ago and love it. The 65 is standard but will do some mods soon. Love the little huskys been better than the ktms that we have had. If any of u guys will be at the state titles for dirt track at kempsey would love to have a chat about them

New sticker kit for the girls 85, getting ready for the Qld girls in Bunderberg.

Hey guys looking for someone got to do some mods to our cr50 if anyone know or could recommend someone. Cheers

Hi Knucklesdad, Where to you get the 10" front wheel? My son is 6 and too tall for his KTM50, but not old enough for the 50SX. I have been offered a nice CR50 and if I can get the front wheel that may be a great option.

knucklesdad, G'Day. I realize you are in a different climate but how did you go with the 85's jetting? Any issues?
We went through a heap of plugs, I am on the top clip on the needle jet, original main jet and may well go down a size on the pilot jet.
Your thoughts if I may pick your brain. Also, I am looking at getting a Husky 50 for my soon to be 5 y.o., can they be lowered?
Many Thanks. DD

Dingodog we have left the tropical north and now in SE Qld so with the days starting to cool and the kids now riding more sand tracks I have been playing with the 85 jetting as well.
My 11 year old son now rides it as the girl is on the 125 ahad I am now using very similar settings to what you discribe 118 main 120 on a real cool morning down 1 on the pilot and standard needle top clip.
thats with a hgs pipe/muffler.

Thanks Knucklesdad. I went down one on the Pilot, all well for now. will stay with original Main jet as going into cooler WX. I have ordered some different MJ's and the HH needle, one leaner and go back to say the middle clip. Thanks for your input. DD
