  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Do it with a HUSKY voice and do it in the Dirt.

Just after 2:20am Christmas Eve day morning, here in AZ USA. Ditto on the comments above, a big ditto. Have fun, stay safe, and take stock in what we do have, and a fresh new year almost here to pursue other things we want for ourselves and others in our lives.

1:28 a.m here in Sunny Southern California.... Merry Christmas to all of our Vintage Husky Brothers around the world and especially in Ozz and NZ!

I know that my 6 year old Logan will have many items for his KX65 under our tree and my 40MM Husky CR500 Vintage Forks are resting under the Christmas Tree at RaceTech Suspension here in Corona.... Michelle over there is taking good care of them for me and they will arrive back early next week with brand new Goldvalves, springs etc....

Christmas tips

A few Christmas tips especially if you have less than entertaining relatives around.

(1)Invite them to the garage or shop to look at your bikes, that equals time in the garage.

(2)Offer to take the garbage out on one hour intervals, cruise thru garage on way back.

(3)Go looking for that "one last present" that you must have hid in the garage. Nobody would dare argue that one or come looking for you. That one is usually good for 30 minutes of garage time.
Offer to teach the kids some history, MX files is history isnt it?

I'm sure there is alot more "tips" to share so please do.
This last one is my favorite. Offer to check the roads and weather on the computer in my office for the travelers. Check the weather and then check this forum to see what great things are being discussed. Thank you all for the great time and have a great Christmas.

Husky fleet,
You sound like the unsocial motor head like me.
I have to show everyone my latest project in the garage and when the women leave its party time around my new work station / party bar as my father in law calls it.

Hope you all had a merry Christmas and a new year with lots of good riding.
