• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Does anyone know of a trail map for McCubbins, Near Mt. Hood? I already started this thread and some one posted the map, but I can't seem to find the post in here. Do some threads disappear if no one views them? Several people replied and i still can't find it through the search engines.

No threads do not disappear, if it existed before it should still exist. The search does not work very well at all though. I just tried all the things I can think of using this google feature and came up with nothing:

I've deleted a few threads, but very very few.

I'll look, I have seen them around. Kinda hard to get lost there. Some good trails. BTW I'm sure it is not even close to ridable yet.

Yes, way too much snow up there right now. There is a poker run at McCubbins Gulch on May 30 or 31st, I don't remember which day. The snow will be gone and it will be a great ride.

Sorry, guess I posted that on benddualsport.com. I found it but can't open it anymore. Went there the weekend after that last year, the flagging was still up. Would be fun to ride it one way w/ no oncoming traffic. Nice conditions that time of year.

I just checked www.benddualsport.com, it appears that people need to be a member before threads can be viewed, hence google searches on the site will not retrieve any information.

I tried!

I've never seen one online, but I'm guessing you might be able to get one from the ranger station in Zig Zag :excuseme:
