• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Malcom Smith book

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hello everyone.
I was one of the guys who pre-ordered the Malcom Smith book to get a autographed copy.
Has any one here got the book yet?
"On any sunday" back as a kid is what got me into Husqvarna's (yes I was one of the guys who hid in the bathroom to see it over)
Any updates here?

Regards,
Team WR

I bought my te 310 from his dealership , took me to his office and signed a poster signed on any sunday, went down and signed the number plate on my bike, helped them prep it and helped me load it and strap it in my truck, class act this man is !

Thanks for the info everyone, that why this site is so great!
I knew someone would comment
He is a CLASS ACT !

Thanks again,
Team WR

I just got mine today, WOW! (9-3-2015)

+1 on Drew Smith' comment

beautiful book, happy for the wait for, a note with the autographed copy : Malcom said spread the word.....,

I would loved to have had a copy. But after going through the order on the web site ...... they want $79.95 to ship a book to the UK  ...... get real ! That is a rip-off ! I don't mind the $49.95 for the book as I am sure it's worth every penny.
I have a feeling Mr Smith won't be selling many books outside the U.S. !!

Grouty, the cost for us to deal across the great pond is why I primarily work with Husqvarna sources within the USA.

i agree, but i will still be placing a good order with andy @HVA factory this fall as he has some cool stuff.

When I need something that only Andy happens to have, that is when I will buy. There is not much I can not get from Phillip.

the cast ignition covers, the repro aluminum front fender braces, and the repro crank gear pullers are top notch from andy

Just got the copy of this book that I ordered via Amazon a year ago. Due to the delay, it is signed and they seem to have absorbed some of the shipping...

I might let you 'touch' my book Ian - if you are good!!!

Andy.
