• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Malcolm Stewart To Race Daytona Supercross on a 450

He seems very likeable and the power of the big bikes should be a plus. I thought he was going to be a fixture in the 450 class after watching him in outdoor last year.

He did some 450's last year i think and did OK. Seems he has more speed and experience this year. If he can get in the top 10 in this crowd I would think that a success.

His best finishes in the outdoors last year were 4th and 7th (Budds Creek and Redbud). The rest of the time he was just outside the top ten (11th at Thunder Valley).

I agree, if he can get inside the top ten w/this [insanely talented] crowd it will be a success.

That is one big kid on the two fifty, I always look to see ware he is at just because of his brother.

That's really cool ... This guy looked pretty good on the 450 in the outdoors ... He said while sitting in the gate with the other 19 riders, he was worried about racing his brother, like all the others would be in their way or something :) ... Racing Daytona on his first race? ... Good luck!

The last pic I saw of him, he looked like a big over-grown teenager-kid ... He's looking all grown-up now and with those glasses, he looking more like a doctor or something :( .... Time waits for no man ...

Look at the 250 schedule ... No wonder a 250 rider can't drop into the 450 class on the 1st yr and expect to do much more than have a fighting chance to hang with the guys who have already raced a full 450 season ...

yes, unexpectedly for about 4 feet.

Nope, him and Alessi need a time out.

Agreed, I like Barcia but lately he is grinding my gears. I love his aggressive style but lately it isn't working for anyone. He needs to realize that his willingness to run it in on anyone is costing him and others points.

Garcia & Mookie went at it again tonite. Mookie was hauling butt on that 4fiddy. I was at other end of track, had to see it on the big screen. Bam Bam ain't gonna have too many friends if he keeps this shit up.

Is this Garcia & Mookie?

Stew34 manhandles that 450 ... He's a 450 rider after this race :)

In my opinion that was Barcia going above and beyond to be a jerk. He had the pass made but had to give that little extra to let Malcom know he is the man.

Typical Barcia move, he is a putz.

Later,

I'm sure some will call that racing and maybe it is, but if you watch the entire race, several times riders were in almost the exact position as Stew34 and JB51 and every time the inside rider squared that corner and did not touch the guy on the outside ...

These riders can put their bike where they want to put it ... I think he went up there also looking for trouble and he found it. Stew34 is not as fast as JB51 at this point in time and not even in the points chase in the 450s ... Why risk crashing yourself tangling with him?

Also, sx is cool to watch and such but its really just a placeholder for me till the outdoors start ... Best to start out there with all the riders and no one hurt ...

Looked to me like Barcia was repaying Stewart for the outdoors incident.
Probably not the smartest move - #1 Barcia is in a points race, Stewart isn't #2 Stewart is a pretty big guy (have to admit I kinda liked the shove and the wheelie)
