• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
A Class
I raced today making several changes during the 3 practices and 4 motos today. It was suggested that I take out the top bolt of the side bolts for the sub-frame. Apparently Team Husky does this for their works bikes here in the US.

Well, noticeably smoother feel on the track. The rear end just feels more planted and supple when turning. No problems on jumps or real rough straights.

Thought I would share.

weird, new bikes are sure getting strange. do they not know whether to make them stiffer, or softer, or what?

I have reviewed every foto of all the top tier guys bikes in racing and in static fotos not one is missing one of the 2 subframe screws, every bike from Jarvis to Brown to Delong , Argubright, Anderson etc etc have 2 mount screws per side. Just saying.....from an engineering standpoint.....Its unimaginable. Anyone else see or hear of this? I'm unconvinced of this "logic". not buying into this bs. (not the part about you running only 1 per side, I dont care what you do, its the part about "factory guys" running 1 screw on the subframe side mount that I dont buy into)

my 92 WR500 yami does this by itself, rattles bolts out everywhere. :>) Seriously though I can see how this might induce some flex but I'd be scared it might snap there. I know many guys were running only the two bolts in the lower triples that have three pinch bolts to add flex and give.

Again, I'll stay on the sidelines and read about the show ... (And ride my ITL Huskies) ... Good luck with the new bikes...

In reality these bikes seem as good to me as the red ones, the two strokes with their adjustable power valve and super smooth hydro clutch and awesome power output get the nod from me over the red bikes...seem to work well for me and pretty sure I don't need to remove the subframe bolt. The owners manual is comprehensive as well as the tool kit and folder it comes with is nice. Etc... The red bikes I love but have no problems with the new ones either....
