• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

Thanx guys!

Rest of materials arrived to finish the 430 pipe.

Next up, going to order materials for the 83 CR 250.

Then I'm done with pipes.

Working on 430 piper! Stalled on finishing the cylinder paint job. Then that has to go on so I can align piper up to fit.

I think your gonna like the cylinder art work!

However, I have been working on the pipes, cuts, fitting and welding some.

Feel like Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Purple Piper Parts!

All my piper parts to build the 83 CR 250 piper are on their way.

This is the 430 cylinder. Had to do it this way since I notice a cracked strap that runs up and down plus a cracked fin.

So I welded in a section of aluminum and just put the Husky lettering on it.

Same on both sides.

Pipe done and may blue yet?

This piper I did a brass Husky badge on to match gold scheme.

This is what 25 hours work lands you.

I welded a Yamaha pipe to a husky 83/250 pipe. With the curly Q in the beginning. It came out ok and ran ok but yours looks awesome. A lot of work goes into making these.

Let me know if your going to sell these.

Bill,

Thanx for asking but.........

Not at the moment. I work mon-fri easy 60 hrs week. So all I have is weekends, plus I want to get these finished.
I have couple gas tanks to do for a friend and guy on here. That's it..... I've turned down about 10 tanks to removed dents and paint since Fall. Plus, I gotta start on me Maico to finish as well.

Ok, so here is my next piper for two fiffy!

Believe you me, I almost turned this one into a snail pipe but I did not have the right end silencer in my arsenal.

Think I will do some digging to find the right one that would work. It has to have a snap ring in the bottom of it so I can repack it and also weld right into the pipe.

I had it mocked up with masking tape. It does look bad ass, so think I'll do one for fox bike.

You will always know my pipe cause I put a husky badge on them.

This one was lil tough to get end perfect for my silencer. I still have to make a silencer bracket but had to wait till pipe was done.

I'm stalled out because i ran out of Argon gas for my tig welder.

Just putting some final touches on the 125 pipe.

I did the badge in stainless and brass to give it a rustic look with the black and gold tank.

Also, if you remember I did the XC on it.
