• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

Now you know why there is a headless horseman running around.

Study the last pic!

Going to make parts for another one and this will be a shorty one. It is going to go on the 390 with CR ignition. Should open the top end up some on it.
I should get the tubing Monday night. Then all I have to do is assemble it.

I found that my regulator(Harbor Freight)on the TIG lost a diaphragm so that was why mine emptied so fast

Yeah something goofy going on with it. Happen when I hooked new bottle up.
Needle was under the post, so not sure if it just blew all around the whole gauge?
Hopefully, going to pull the one off my mig to see if it will get me by this weekend.
I have no idea where my gas is at, but I can tell welding.

Thanx,

Should have all the pieces fabbed up today and get them polished.
The tubing should be here Monday, to fit all the pieces together in it.
As long as I don't screw the back end cap up today milling it.
The back cap is going to be two pieces. I will prob cut an o ring groove so it doesn't weep spooge.

All I need now is my outer tube and looks like a done deal.

If you want to make perfect baffle.

Get what ever size tube that you want inside diameter to be.

Roll it around tube best you can. Then put 4 hose clamps on it and just tighten them enough so you can pull tube out.

Then spot braze it down seam and keep moving your hose clamps.

Start in center and work your way to ends.

Hi there. Could you please outline how you painted your fuel tank, like stage by stage? I am interested in how many coats you applied to get such a great finnish, decals under the clear top coat, just one top/clear coat? Many Thanks.
