• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What's to hate, it looks brilliant!
Tony.

Thanx Tony!

I have messed with all sorts of concepts behind the scenes. Gotta thank lacquer thinner and bead blaster. They are like miracle erasers.

I had a black husky logo on ignition cover and that was over kill.
I highlighted casting lines black on clutch cover.
Seemed like everything I did wasn't working.
Hit me this am that I needed some black on the cylinder to transition from the black cases, brushed covers then into the cylinder.
Heck I even sprayed the center cases in gold but then was too much gold.

Thanx

Thanx guys! I appreciate the comments and support!

Hopefully can get the bottom end of 390 together next weekend. I know there some tricks to timing the tranny and gear selector in 4th gear. So may need some help? I kinda did a mock up in an empty case but maybe post some pics that someone can verify it is correct.

Did these covers this am to add some black in.

Used two layers of duct tape and actually etched the magnesium with logo.

Then did them in black with clear.

Ok I am done! No more stuff till I get plastic on!

Your huskies look. Phenomenal

I am looking forward to getting my finished 450 posted here, there is a certain satisfaction to completing a challenging project.

Thanx Mike! They can be very frustrating at times. Someday will be the pay off, to admire our work.

The shop came with the farm and there is another one connected that my son uses.

I sure have painted a lot of cars, trucks, bikes,etc..... In it.

Like to get milling machine and metal lathe yet, but we shall see.

Oh, don't forget to send pics.....

Crank back for 390:)!

Got new end on it so I can put internal rotor cr ignition on it.

Thing should spool up fast and I raised ports up about 1mm and took care of exhaust port and intake where it transfers to the boost ports.
