• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

I like the white side cover/plates

Sounds great !

I have a friend looking for a set of good, non pitted, used 40mm front forks off 82-84 Cr?

I think he will need triples as well. Just PM me. Ive got a set of longer 35’s but they need rechromed.

Got fenders in at least.

Some places are not shipping orders from Corny virus! So that’s more delays! Uggggg!

If you ever need to trim seat foam. This works awesome!

I had to concave seat foam against gas tank so seat would slide forward some more.

First tried a long razor knife but it left it jagged.

Then tried this and looked almost like it came out of the foam mold.

I am SOOO jealous!!:notworthy: But I'm learning alot!

Thanx Chris!

Keep in mind that those oldies took years to find and accumulate.

Now it’s taking long time to get them done. I’d like to throw money at them, to just get them done, but I can’t.......

But on flip coin, gives me something to do.

I appreciate everyone doing a project/build on here, because I learn something new all the time.

So, stay healthy, stay put and build them bikes.

Looks like your background in avatar is Nam? If so, and you served? Thanks for serving our country!

Thanx Steve!

How you hold up I California?

Thanks for asking:cheers: I'm in a pretty good situation having almost an acre fenced and a lot of vacation time to play with ....so far:<) Best to you and your family****************************************:applause:

Thanks for the words of wisdom there Darin. No, I was not in Vietnam, but had 2 brothers that were. That pic is from Germany in the early 80s. 11H, Heavy Anti-Armor, moving TOW Missile Launchers out at the Czechoslovakia (had to google the spelling) border. My pleasure to serve!

Tough ordering stuff!

But here are my new number plate backgrounds for my wee ninety.

I think they will look good on white front and white side plates.
