  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Made my own grpahics kit for the 300 what you think?

Sandgroper

Husqvarna
AA Class
The colours were inspired from another kit but I changed the design.
Since I work in a printing company we can do this inhouse with custom heavy lamination :)
Th red looks more orange in the pic but is actually nearly exact in real life ;)

That's kinda what I was thinking, how do I go about printing my own graphics, since I don't seem to have many options.

Very cool.

Its alot of messing around, took me a full day just to do the templates and on top of that design, sticker testing, lamination etc etc. If you wanted to make money doing this you sure wont get rich doing it this way. The best part is that there is no limitation to what you can have on the sticker.

looks good, ive just got some shroud decals for my cr125 and they have the rad cover and the tank bottom as well, the design is nice but, there not very well sized, the holes are off centre and the rad guard decals are a real poor fit, cost me 37 quid so there quite cheap, next time i think ill see what husky sport can get in original husky parts.

I really like that. I think the blue looks cooool and breaks up the red and black. I've just ordered some graphics myself and have also thought blue. Nice job

Not bad at all mate, there's really no limit now days to what you can put on your bike, as you said the templates are the biggest hassle.
Cheers Tef.

Nice Job :) My only concern at the moment is using other company logos and copywright issues. Im assuming as long as we are only using logo's on our own bikes and not using it on a design that you intend to sell then there shouldnt be any issues (I assume).

I guess there'd be a few issues there, even reproducing the the Husky logo could land you in trouble, stand to gain nothing from the reproduction, althought it gets a few laughs.

Personally I dont see what the big deal is after all we are promoting other brands :D

I just received and fitted the GUTS Racing seat cover and fitted her last night. Cant say Im happy with the thickness of the vinyl. Seems a bit too soft and stretchy but time will tell I guess...
