• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Looks like Safari tanks are just about ready to go...

Yes, they both are two different products... But this got me to thinking.

Can you put them both on the same bike is you squeezed the top of the Nomad under the Safari??

What kind of mileage would that get you?

The fuel would weigh more than the bike. You would need "flammable liquid" signs on the bike....LOL

For those who like the Terra in Red, it looks like Safari Tanks do too!!

holly mother of tank! Now that's what i call a TANK! But i must say, what an incredibly tasteful job they did of the design lines, not to mention color match. Excellent job! That thing loaded should help soften up the suspenders a tad! I think i like this a lot!

WOW  if that whole bottom half under the body line was flat black it would look a lot better and not so slab sided. They make good stuff but that looks HUGE. What is it like 22 gallons?

So much for the alt rider guards working with it. Looks like I will need to mod the SW ones I have too but.....WANT IT!!:D

Probably not. but these are plastic and can split. Certainly not worried about cracking up the rad though....

Do you really need guards with a tank like that?
Isn't it a guard structure unto itself.
I think that's part of the appeal with the big un'. Serves multiple needs in one. 'One' mother of a tank! Certainly like the idea of the coverage. Way more weight than i'd ever want to haul when full. For the Aussie and Africa market, major appeal. Maybe a tad on the large for the US? Anyone know the dry weight?

All red, red/black, either way it looks better than that goofy Nomad tank.
The white in their mock-up pic (post #1) looks the best

Actually I like the " look" of the Nomad tank much better. Softens the aweful Manga lines of the Husky styling. But the Nomad has been put off now until October and then who knows when, so obviously not a priority for them. So I guess I will be a Safari tank buyer. I have a Safari tank on the DRZ and it is a good unit so not really a bad second choice. Besdies I don't really look at my bike...I ride it.

Increases the total fuel to 30 litres (~8USGal), so an extra 16L (4.2USGal). I like the look a lot more than the nomad whale mouth. I agree about the black lower half would make it look better, or even a decal to break up all the red. Nice big canvas for a white H logo

Have been advised by Safari... Estimated Availability = mid October. The capacity is now 18 litres + 14 litre stock tank = 32 litres total.
