As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Yes, but your four strokes is a street bike.
My buddy has a 310 and a CR125 and his 310 is his street bike. When I had a te510 and wr250, my 510 was basically a street bike.
When it comes time to do some serious offroading we get the 2 strokes out.
....and real women. At least the real men do
Can anyone provide me with some good details on the 2013 WR300? Most of the reviews I've read have been all the basic information. How many hours have you gotten on the top end, Suspension, adjustments, weight, pro's/cons?
I've been trying to make up my mind between the WR300, and the TXC310. Not alot of information around for these bikes, and I kinda like that! I want to race something less known, my series that I'm going to race has I believe 2 husky's. Thanks for any information, I won't be able to test ride because there is no local dealers so I'm ordering a crated fresh off the line model![]()
I fully agree. I wouldnt dare race the TE in a hare scramble.Yes, but your four strokes is a street bike.

the wr300 is hard 2 start due 2 the high,short kick lever.cold start,fuel on,lay on its side till carb overflows,choke on,stand on pegs,lean forward,kick back & down.wear boots.if starting is hard & u get kick back check 4 erratic spark,stator fault
What a complete load of nonsense! the WR is not difficult to start especially with the Kehein unless you are a midget there is no need to stand on the pegs, obviously you have to wear boots you would be a fool to kickstart any mx bike wearing sandals. The technique is simple - fuel on, choke on kick it like you want to start it, 2nd kick cold and 1st warm.
Jeez Broken Biker if u can start a 4 Banger in ya thongs then I'd be checken ya compression. All bikes need a nack to start em, i can get started and gone as quick as most electric legs on my 3hunge...
windsurf, why poo poo my post,ru an employee of husqvarna OZ or own or work 4 a dealer.this technique is from cafe husky[R_little i think]& works perfectly with oem carb & factory recommended jetting.i can start my 610 with thongs on.i dont wear sandals
I have the keihin on my 300. Is the lectron still better?
I saw comments about better gas milaege. If true i might have to switch. I have the ims 3.5 gallon tank and ran out at 80 miles on signltrack. Would like yet more range if possible.
The reason I poo poo your post is because people read rubbish like you have to lay the bike on its side, stand on the pegs etc and believe it is the problem with buying a Husqvarna. The fact of the matter is that this stuff is written by people who haven't set up their bike correctly and use poor technique. 9 times out of 10 this lack of knowledge is translated into blaming the bike. I do not work for Husqvarna but do believe the bikes should be given the recognition they deserve.
