• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

LOIC LARRIEU WINS THE SECOND RACE OF THE FRENCH MX2 CHAMPIONSHIP
A triumphant return for Husqvarna in the French MX2 championship at the hand of Loic Larrieu and his TC 250. Larrieu took the lead of the Sommeries race, gaining the holeshot and holding on to it right up to the chequered flag.
In the second moto, up against the best riders of the MX1 and MX2 classes, Larrieu, who started from 14th place, managed to make it as far as seventh, first amongst the MX2 riders. Later a fall slowed him down allowing Despery to overtake and take the 250 prize, with Larrieu in second place but still overall race winner and French MX2 Championship leader.

MX2 race:
1. Larrieu (Husqvarna),
2. Desprey (Kawasaki),
3. Lacan (Kawasaki),
4. Clermont (Honda),
5. Escoffier ( Kawasaki).

MX2 Standings after 2 rounds:
1. Larrieu (Husqvarna),
2.Desprey b(Kawasaki),
3.Clremont (Honda),
4.Ferrandis (Kawasaki),
5.Paturel (Kawasaki)

This is really excellent for HVAs MX ambitions. Larrieu leading in France and Lupino in Italy. When was the last time this happened?

Maybe not underpowered if they're running on Euro petrol.??
The "underpowered" myth is bullshit when the right rider is in the saddle! The Jap bikes are nothing more than rocket-powered steam rollers. Anyone can use a rocketship to get hole shots. Our '11 Kawasaki did one thing well... it was like being shot out of a cannon. Everything else was dismal. Handling sucked. Suspension was mediocre. The bike looked like it was 9 years old after 3 rides.

The 2012's are supposed to be on par with the Japs in the power department.
Don't know if the world is taking notice but the X-Lite package is winning or knocking on the door in all areas.
