  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

i have a husky 08 year injected model, and i buy it a magnum rev limiter. this have some difficult instructions. you must remove the crystal of oem ecu and put it in magnum rev limiter.did anyone here put this product ?

yes i check many discussions and i didnt see anything about this.... also i send a couple emails but no one tryied this product

That is a new one on me. I assume you are trying to raise the rev limiter? I just don't see why you would want to, there is no more power up there without serious trouble.

I don't see on the website where they have a Husqvarna application. Also, at least on my 310, the ECU is epoxy sealed. You'd have to bust it apart to get to the guts. Why are you wanting to bypass the rev limiter? You don't want to float the valves and knock a hole in your piston or have the crank or rod fail, do you?

di-lithium type or meth type.....crystal..?

Anyway if you want to play with the ECU you should get a GET system or go with one of the industry standards that many folks here use for FI tuning which will not break into your ECU. The factory race team uses the GET system, others on this site use JD Tuner and Dyno Jet auto tune. The folks that go with these systems are national level race teams and regular riders as well.

I went and looked at their website, you should be calling them with information about the application on your 2009 SM510, they claim a tech hotline, consult directly with the manufacturer. Be aware that your Mikuni ECU is hermetically sealed with solid epoxy, its not the type thats meant to have add-ins, plug-ins etc.
