  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

LHRB set-up pictures - TC450

Husqvarna
AA Class
This set-up turned out fairly compact and wasn't hard to do once I found the right conversion fittings. Might help someone else with some ideas. I used the magura clutch master as the rear brake master (with new brake fluid compatible o-rings and stronger spring) and added a Hayes mtb master for the clutch over-ride with the Rekluse and used the $$$ magura mineral oil for that.

How did you manage to fit them both on the same bar,I tried the lot including a remote radial
master and the only way I could get both,in my case the std clutch and the Recluse LHRB master to fit was a another short dummy handlbar welded to an old barkbuster mount, mounted under the std bar to hold the 2nd master, where there is a will there is a way.

To fit both levers on one bar was easy since I used a long lever Magura clutch master as the brake master and the Hayes MTB master is very small and made to be tilted down. Mustang - 1970 Mach I, dry sump motor, custom suspension, 275-40's all around, torque sensing diff, cup car hubs, brakes, etc. It goes fast...

Hello

Where you got those internal parts to Magura?

Good to know the Hayes MC has enough displacement to operate the clutch. I have been thinking about using Hayes MCs for both the brake and clutch. Sounds like it would work.Where did you find your conversion fittings? I have been making them.

Your dealer should be able to get them for you.
