• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Lets play a game, what part is this?

I kind of want one of those. Something you'll be making?

Uh hell no. I did not like that idea. Got the wheel from a friend that way. Don't like how all the load is on the bolts as it does not touch the flange on the hub. He is a fast guy and ran it on a TXC450 without issues so I guess it works. You want this one?

He can ride, wrench, navigate, and play Trivial Pursuit. He is - Xcuvator! :applause:
Very kind words guys, but it's not trivial pursuit if I have made one up.

Yeah for sure, check the bolts and keep them tight and red locktited.
Here is one I made out of a stock sprocket that fits the flange fairly well:

This is just a personal thing!! But I never use loctite on a rear sprocket and also tell others not to, Sprocket bolts to my mind are a part of routine mantainence and I always put a spanner to them every other ride or so. Red loctite will give the impession that all is tight and fine when you give the spanner/wrench a tug but this may not be the case as the loctite has done its job to well and the bolts are actually loose,
Seen it before quite a few times so always stick to my way as its only time and not cash for a new hub.

A friend of mine used red loctite on the AXLE of his GSXR 750!!! Talk about a fiasco getting that off!
