• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Good job BMW on having District 23 included in you conting. program!!! Keep up the good work!!! Ran into a guy at the race this weekend, his son on a KTM 200. Had ALOT of questions about my CR 150 and my old converted WR 144. He liked the bike and my results and my Husky sales pitch (hey it is ALL true anyway) And he said gosh if my son would have been on a Husky he would have made some good Husky bucks! Can't get a 11 150 around here, but sounds like he is ordering a 2012! I hope from Hall's!!Any one need a 200 KTM?? I might not like the BMW thing, but hey there is probably 10 Husky's or so at the enduro's (hec at one time I think it was just me!) And hec from my Husky camelback to umbrella etc.... This is the boost they needed! Streetbikes soon to! YES, SORRY PUMPKIN HEADS! PREPARE IN THE NEAR FUTURE FOR THE RED/WHITE/BLACK TAKEOVER!!! Let the onslaught begin****************************************!! I LOVE MY HUSQVARNA****************************************

Yep BMW is changing huskys face some but the bikes live on. I really like the 449/511 platform too so all is not lost. Go husky!!!

:banana:I only wish for people to discover what truly great bikes Husqvarnas actually are. I owned one KTM and will never own another. If I buy anymore new bikes for the trail or track, they will be Husqvarna.

I've owned more Orange than I care to admit. The 2 strokes are nice bikes, but the two 4 stroke KTM's I owned were dismal in every regard when compared to my Husqvarnas.

The 05 KTM that I owned was actually a two stroke. It never left me stranded anywhere, but it was a big pain. Most of the engine gaskets sweated oil right from the very start. The exhaust chamber cracked....after I had it welded, it cracked next to the crack, so I replaced the pipe, the shock seal blew with relatively little time on it, the rear subframe cracked right away on both sides....looked like a design flaw, so I just had it welded up and gusseted, electrical switches went bad, engines seals leaked....just got nickled and dimed all the time by it.
