• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

left kicker early '80's after market pipes?? (83 430/500cc?)

Here is a sample of a Geoff Morris pipe. I seen this style in the 430 article in VMX a few years ago. Nice mid and rush just after mid range.

Painted black because of flash rust in second pic. He has updated pipe since I purchased a couple years ago.

Friend has a Eric Cook pipe , going to compare later this fall.

I notice there's a difference in a 430cc pipe to a 500cc pipe. The larger diameter part of the pipe, one is longer than the other.

I do think they make a bit of difference power wise....maybe it's because I have the mossbarger reed block so it the two combined makes it very quick.

Ask Andy at HVA on here if they are any different.

For all - I hope to be able to have a bit of a run off of three pipes coming up just before the Rio Bravo armha race at the first week of nov. or so

Stock, Geoff Morris, Eric cook pipe. Let everyone know results. We will have at least three 430s to compare.

I started a revolution of sorts down here - several folks want some Huskies to ride and race on.

I had a trick 500 cone pipe and put it on the 430 but I had to cut the pipe where it went under the tank to make the angle right . it worked great until my brother hit me with his RM, his foot peg destroyed it. Still have not forgiven him.
