I had one that was dripping. Kevin sent me out a replacement right away

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Is it normal for gas to come out the one line on the side of the carb? I still have that a little bit and it's making the engine wet. Didn't know if this was normal or if maybe the float is off or something isn't sealing completely in the carb?
Followed your set up guide tonight and also measured the rod before starting but I think the bike is running better now. I'll know more this weekend. So far from the way the carb was shipped I went 1 full turn richer on the meter rod and have idle about 1.25 out. Really seemed to help with the lean condition in first 1/4 of throttle. Still might be able to go another 1/4 or even 1/2 I'll wait and ride it first. PJ seemed to work best at 2 turns out, again will play with it when I ride it more in real world riding if things don't seem or sound right.
Stupid question why/when does gas come out that hose? I mean on normal carbs it runs out the overflow when I crash or lay the bike over but I wasn't sure if the same was happening with the Lectron. Because it is putting out gas from the hose even when I haven't crashed. So just asking and will it affect mileage during a race? I have no idea how much is coming out.
make sure the fuel line has a clamp on it at the inlet or it will leak down the side of the bowl and make it look like a bowl gasket failure. Good tight fuel line and clamp no leaky.just noticed after Sundays ride that my Lectron is wet on the side exactly like yours. i haven't had time to investigate yet but i could almost see that corner wasn't seated as tight as the one to the right of it (towards rear). wonder if those screws can wiggle loose easily? funny, i was just staring at this last night then ran into your pics. interesting.
as for tuning, read the Lectron guide Motosportz posted, it's really helpful. play with the rod until you get the high idle (lean) condition then richen slightly from there. i've tuned two rods this way and they end up pretty much perfect. the PJ i've been playing with over time, i had a sputter up top when the bike would get warm... turning the PJ out further would sorta cure it but wasn't consistent... odd thing is, i swapped my plug (again) and made sure it was gapped to .024. the previous plug was at .030, no clue why! (Beer?)... anyway, my top end RIPS now, no sputter or odd behavior when hot.
long story short... also check your plug gap while you're tuning.
EDIT: oh, and +1 for Amsoil. i run Interceptor and/or Dominator at 50:1
