• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Lectron carburetors at Motosportz

I am going to keep one and the other is for a friend. I really want to try them back to back on the 165 to see if there is much of a difference.

I sent out some Emails to everyone that ordered. For some reason the order page did not take my changes and there were not fields to choose this info from. Please check your Emails and respond with this info the on line order form should be right now.

Also got some testing in yesterday. Dropped the rod 1/2 turn (super EZ to do). While my bike seemed to run perfect before the plug read slightly rich. The leaning of the rod made it more snappy. I also richened the power jet (twist the external knob) and that to added top end. Seems perfecter now. :>) Carb still runs flawless from bottom to top. Buddy Ken with a KTM 350 tried it and really liked it. He said "wow, that carb is different, I see what you mean, fluid smooth power everywhere with zero glitchs"

I am also notice a weird anomaly with these carbs. When you run ether the APT or Lectron in really wet and cold condition they look like a car with a blow head gasket. Steaming up the trail. It is really weird. Buddy Ken asked me if I had some Jame Bond avoidance system on it. My feeling is that in these conditions (near or at freezing and 100% moisture) the high atomization these carbs do cause this. It is odd. Does not affect how the bike runs just the odd steam like emissions.

thanks

Got your cool-aid order and processed it. Will get it right out. I bet you love it on that bike. thanks!

Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me what metering rod they are useing when fitting the Lectron to the 165s ?
