• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK ITs on again Next weeken at Glen Helen Calif June 16,2012 Last year we saw Corey Graffunder get second on a Husky. We also saw Kyle Redmond get first on a Honda. But this year he will be on a Husky

Who is going to be there this year? This years pre entry list has many a top rider from all over the world signed up.

Come on Husky fans give it a try.The view from last place is still better then sitting in the stands.

This old man will give it a try again but this year I will be on the Walt Smith Husky 165

Redmond is injured(from what I've heard).... gray thunder is on his game. A 310 could win this thing in the heart of US moto country.

"Come on Husky fans give it a try.The view from last place is still better then sitting in the stands."

That's the best comment I've heard in a long time. And no I am not in for this event (sorry about that) maybe next year for this one. But we do have other events on the agenda that will test bike and rider.
John go get some! Be safe but get er done!!

With the Funky Chicken in Oregon the same weekend we expect to see Cory there extending his lead in the AMA National Western Hare Scrambles on Sunday.... maybe he can make both ....if only we had some magic teleporters or something...

Cory told me he really wants to do the Last man standing BUT will be up at your race and does not see being able to make it back to so Calif Also Redmound is injured So unless you other Husky riders can hall your sorrie ass out to the event looks like this old man might just be the only Husky there.
There is a saying Make a effort not a excuse

"you other Husky riders can hall your sorrie ass out to the event"

99% of success in life is SHOWING UP !!!

Just saw where Red Bull just signed up as a sponsor This event is going to be great.I went last year and it was good so this year will be better
Got my 165 preped and geared

Best of show AJAX!!
And please don't include me in the excuse makin' for not participatin' catagory(laughing). Ive been racing, thrashing and bashing my TE310 since the day I got it from Tecate Mex. to Gorman Ca. (ha ha).
Have fun, stay injury free and preserve the machine. You know the tactic, pace-thyself, all the jackrabbits will be scattered off the course panting and frustrated in the later sections. Careful of the heat, electrolytes plus water. Hope you have ZipTy/Evans coolant in the bike. Go get some!!! RN

This would be the Last DOG Standing. Slight difference but still looks like a fun event. Have fun this weekend! Keep 'er rubber side down!
