• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

LAMC Tecate Sprint Enduro 5DEC2015

wow im in the final trophy slot for the ssr class, lamc usually does the class /6 rule for trophies
2 others of my crew from the sen class 7th and the final slot 10th in class as well

LR of course I know, but really I cant recall hearing about a Mike Baker??? ISDE club guy?? AMA enduro? HS? H&H?

Mike Baker been around a long time some MX, mostly GP's like Riverside GP, Adalanto,SRA,Elsinore,
always been fast, fast local around here. He's Dallas Bakers son.
Later George

Man I was wondering who #380 was? He kept catching up to me on most of the tests after starting back 5 riders(1:15) behind me. I was passing like 4 riders and that means he was passing like 10! I would make it race though and bang bars with him as long as I could and hang on his wheel (definitely out of my comfort zone). He ended up #2 in SR class and 16 OA. Paul Day any one know him?

I see a couple things working against them in this format there....

1.) You guys are killing the ribbon.... gotta stay out of the ribbon.... here they use one color on left a different on right.....

2.) the lanes are too close with too many 180s.....

3.) need solid stuff on inside of turns (sage brush, tree, rock)

4.) they need to tighten up their banner game... nice and tight so its not blowing around....

personally i'd like to see a mix in each test instead of 15 minutes of grass track and such

there may be a change to the results pending review of ST3 first group of SR line, group c. I see one of my SR south of the border friends having a sub 10 minute ST3 time and that fastest of the day time followed by a line up SR guys from that start. There are more than a few with faster times than the pros. someone messed up. nate you have basically a 12 flat on the St3 first go around thats faster than Ivan. it looks to me like right at plus 4 minutes for the c group sr class st3 first go around

Shredded ribbon was the trophy I brought home with me! Had to cut it out of my back wheel both races.. Fun stuff but your observations/comments are 100% correct

updated big time. the whole group C of SR guys had 4 minutes added to their ST3 (1) times

Robert, I don't get the scoring... on your vid I got you through the "grass track" at around 13min 19secs according to your GoPro. But they have you scored as 15-50 IIRC? penalty points or something?

Good write-up in Cycle News btw- looks like fun.

How'd you like the format?

Back story on our secong pass at this Couse 1-----at @ 1:50 into a grove of oaks the guy behind me (former multi time ISDE club rider) was catching me up and nailed a large cut off branch dead on and annihilated his nose, he finally caught me up near the end of the test and when I saw him after he was a bloody mess. I mean really bloody, his entire front and bike cockpit area scarily covered.
He had to end his day and stayed with the med crew for quite a while. but by the end of the day he was up and around, thankfully. After I saw him I sent out the chase crew to flag that branch, it really could have killed someone and was kind of hidden under the other leafy branches. all ended well he's OK and another faster then me 50+ guy DNFd elevating my OA and class position for the last trophy slot.........to finish first, first you must finish....sorry for the misfortune Grant.
PS my second pass on this test/course was faster than both this guys tests--my first pass sucked......spode city.

quit yer whining we did @ 100 miles of that at last year's enduro with 100x as many technical rock sections thrown in to break yer balls.
