• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kush sprockets for the husky

If you ran a 41t rear, would fitting a 16t front just about even things out? I am happy with the stock gearing and will do whatever it takes to make the bike last as long as possible.

Not sure you'll fit a 16t up front without ditching the case saver, which I think would be a bad idea....

I assume that you're talking about mine. I was one of the guinie pigs for the second generation units. It has been put through its paces and held up great. Its really surprising how much difference they make. The bike is smoother overall and it takes a lot of the shock out of the system.
Great to hear Gen IIs are working. :) Where is a good US source?

I got my order in Saturday night and my sprocket was here from Hong Kong this afternoon (Tues). Amazing, only thing is the shipping turned out to be a bit more. The total was $123.56, but who's counting? If it holds up well there should be reduced wear in all of the drive train.;)
I got it on and I really think the bike likes it. Feels smoother.
Looks like a quality piece too. :)

I have hard time finding information: I am about to get a TE630 and I am looking at the needed mods. Does the TE630 have a cush drive or not? If not, is there any aftermarket cush hubs options?

The stock sprocket on the TE449 is all aluminum and the KUSH is about one half steel and so heaver. I also did not weigh them but I did not say dam that's heavy. The steel sprocket may last longer and every time I ride on the pavement I like the way it feels.

+1 on the feel when riding hard surfaces. No question now after a couple hundred miles.
